Former boy band star Drew Lachey has blasted "false" rumors he had an affair with his Dancing With The Stars partner Cheryl Burke. The 98 Degrees singer, who was crowned the show's overall winner, has denied the rumors after Star magazine claimed the pair were in a relationship throughout their dancing jaunt in 2006.

The magazine reports the pair didn't cover up the fact they were a couple, quoting one source as saying, "Cheryl was constantly draped all over Drew. They held hands, had their legs intertwined and were always touching inappropriately."

However Lachey, who is married with a two-year-old daughter, has dismissed the allegations, with his representative stating, "This story is completely false and couldn't be further from the truth."

And a spokesperson for Burke, who split with actor boyfriend Matthew Lawrence last month, says, "The story that Cheryl is involved with Drew Lachey started two years ago when they were partners on Dancing With the Stars. It wasn't true then and it isn't true now."
