The Clash Producer Dies
The Clash's former producer has died. He was 54. Michael Campbell - better known as Mikey Dread - died of a brain tumor on Saturday. Campbell produced the band's 1980 single "Bankrobber" and contributed to songs on their Sandinista! album. He also went on to tour with The Clash before playing with UB40. Campbell was diagnosed with a brain tumor last summer and moved to North Carolina for treatment. He is survived by his wife Monika and six children.
