Monday, March 10

Julianna MarguliesCanterbury's Law (FOX, 8 p.m.) - Julianna Margulies (ER), she of the perfectly sculpted eyebrows and keeper of Doug Ross' heart, stars as a hard-edged lawyer in this show from producer Denis Leary.

New Amsterdam (FOX, 9 p.m.) - Okay, this is the immortal detective's regular timeslot. Thanks for making it as confusing as possible, FOX.

Medium (NBC, 10 p.m.) - Don't you hate it when your in-laws show up? At least they're not showing up as visions from the beyond like Allison's mother-in-law (Kathy Baker).

High School Confidential (WE, 10 p.m.) - Filmmaker Sharon Liese spent four years documenting the lives of 12 high school girls in Kansas. The antithesis of MTV's reality shows, Liese's footage airs as an eight-part series focusing on one to three girls an evening, tackling issues such as teen pregnancy, depression and anorexia.

Tuesday, March 11

American Idol (FOX, 8 p.m.) - The twelve finalists compete in a two-hour special.

Beauty and the Geek (The CW, 8 p.m.) - Doesn't pitting the geeks and the beauties against each other defeat the whole purpose?

One Tree Hill (The CW, 9 p.m.) - Some people should just stay in Laguna.

Law & Order: SVU (NBC, 10 p.m.) - Friday Night Lights' Gaius Charles guest stars. Hey, Smash, you're going to play football, don't worry. No need to join an ultimate-fighting ring.

Wednesday, March 12

American Idol (FOX, 8 p.m.) - One of the 12 must go home in tonight's results show.

America's Next Top Model (The CW, 8 p.m.) - Last year's winner, Jaslene, is back and she's been upgraded to a guest judge.

Law & Order (NBC, 10 p.m.) - The Practice's Lara Flynn Boyle guest stars as a reporter not above using her feminine wiles to get the scoop on a dead woman.

Top Chef (Bravo, 10 p.m.) - Something's cooking in Chicago on the season four premiere.

Thursday, March 13

Smallville (The CW, 8 p.m.) - Clark's old friend Pete Ross returns and he's brought OneRepublic with him.

Lost (ABC, 9 p.m.) - Jin and Sun argue about where to live. Nice, little hut condo by the beach or an apartment at Locke's camp?

Lil' Bush (Comedy Central, 10:30 p.m) - Kevin Federline voices Lil' Karl Rove. We couldn't make this stuff up if we tried.

The Return of Jezebel JamesThe Return of Jezebel James (FOX, 8 p.m.) - It's also the TV return of Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and Six Feet Under's Lauren Ambrose.

Desperate Housewives (ABC, 9:01 p.m.) - The Thorn Birds' Richard Chamberlain guest stars in this repeat from November as Lynette absentee father.

Saturday, March 15

Wisegal (Lifetime, 9 p.m.) - Life's hard for Alyssa Milano without the Charmed ones. Based on a true story, Milano, as widow Patty Montanari, finds herself joining "the family" to support her two kids. James Caan costars as the godfather.

Sunday, March 16

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (ABC, 8 p.m.) - The only show on TV that never fails to make us cry.

Aliens in America (The CW, 8:30 p.m.) - Justin auditions for a local production of "Rent" because of a cute girl. Oh, Justin. These type of stories never end well.
