Actress Lea Thompson has become the latest celebrity to offer her former co-star Patrick Swayze her full support after the actor revealed he's suffering from pancreatic cancer. Reports the Dirty Dancing star was suffering from pancreatic cancer surfaced on Wednesday, and were later confirmed by his publicist.

And Thompson, who starred alongside Swayze in 1984's Red Dawn, is convinced her old pal will successfully fight the disease - because of his dancing skills!

She says, "I've known him for so long, he's a great guy, and I love him so much. He was such a great dancer. He will be resilient - us dancers are tough!"

Earlier on Thursday, Whoopi Goldberg sent her Ghost co-star Swayze her best during the live broadcast of The View.
