Chad Kroeger's DUI Breath Test Battle Dismissed
Kroeger, real name Chad Turton, was pulled over for speeding on June 22nd, 2006. He faces charges of impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level over .08 - the legal limit.
Kroeger's lawyer, Marvin Stern, argued a police officer conducted an unlawful search of his client's Ferrari after detecting the smell of alcohol on the rocker's breath. Stern insisted that the field breath test results should be thrown out of court, but Judge Peder Gulbrandsen disagreed. Kroeger's case was adjourned until March 12th.
Last year, the rocker pleaded not guilty to drunk-driving. If found guilty, he faces a $600 fine and a one-year driving ban.
