Canadian actress Ellen Page was born February 21, 1987, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Academy Award-nominated is best known for her role as a pregnant teenager named Juno MacGuff. "Juno" received rave reviews from both the critics and the fans, earning Page countless nominations including an Oscar and Golden Globe nomination. She won a Gemini Award and an Independent Spirit Award.
Page began acting at a young age. When she was 10 she appeared in the telefilm Pit Pony, which later turned into a television series spin off. Next, Page landed roles in various small Canadian film and television shows. Her most notable TV role was in the second season of "Trailer Park Boys" where she played Treena Lahey.

In 2005, Page gained a lot of praise in "one of the most complex, disturbing and haunting performances of the year" for her role in Hard Candy. The praise didn't stop there. When "Juno" was released in 2007, Page earned praise for her role as the title character. Roger Ebert said, "Has there been a better performance this year than Ellen Page's creation of Juno? I don't think so."

Page stars in four upcoming films: An American Crime, which premiered at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival; The Tracey Fragments, which is set to release in early 2008; "The Stone Angel"; and Smart People, which premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and is set for wide release on April 11.
Page is also set to star in Drew Barrymore's directorial debut Whip It! and alongside the talented Cillian Murphy in Michael Lander's "Peacock." It was announced that Page is set to star in Peter Stebbings' "The Defender" and alongside "Juno" co-star Olivia Thirlby in "Jack and Diane."
