'Five Heartbeats' Lands Number-One Black Movie Honor

Music drama The Five Heartbeats has topped a list naming the best urban movies of all time. The 1991 film, which was written and produced by its star Robert Townsend, follows the rise and fall of a 1960s African-American vocal group.
At two on the AOL Black Voices website list is A Solider's Story, followed by Steven Spielberg's The Color Purple, which starred Whoopi Goldberg, Danny Glover and Oprah Winfrey.
