On last night’s Supernatural it was the battle of the demons as Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) faced the demon of all demons - the demon that is overtaking the power of the underworld and is on a mission to get Sam. The demon, Lilith, is just a teeny tiny little girl, who with just the blink of her white eyes was able to destroy the entire police station and everyone in it.
Surprise, Surprise, Bela (Lauren Cohen) gets in the way yet again. The good news is, Bela still has the colt, but I highly doubt she will be using it to help save the boys.
In an interview with creator Eric Kripke we learned that it wasn’t the necklace that was stopping the boys from being possessed, it was a tattoo on their chest that was preventing them from being possessed.
We may have a small hint as to how powerful the Colt really is. Ruby’s (Katie Cassidy) reaction when she found out the Colt was missing shows the power of the gun. Is this the gun that can take down Lilith? Will killing Lilith get Dean out of his deal? After all, she is THE demon of all demons.
Katie Cassidy did an amazing job in her role and her speech at the end was priceless, and from the looks on their faces, they knew she was right. For once, I thought the boys should have listened to her. She knows what they’re up against even though it meant sacrificing a virgin, and her [Ruby’s] life. If this doesn’t get Dean to trust her, than I don’t know what will. Her intentions are proving to be good.
What has many “Supernatural” fans curious is how Sam didn’t fight Ruby on sacrificing an innocent person, Nancy. He just stood there agreeing with Ruby when Dean was fighting to try and save Nancy. Dean’s plan to bring the demons in and have the spell being chanted over the PA system was brilliant, and it worked. Or so they thought.
This was by far the best episode of the season so far, and I’m sad to say that there won’t be any new episodes for a little while. I’ll write again in May when “Supernatural” returns with four all new episodes. Let’s just hope Dean survives the season because I’m starting to get a little worried. “Supernatural” fans, keep your fingers crossed that the show returns for a fourth season. Jared mentioned in an interview that the show would end after the fifth season. Let’s just hope that happens.
