The Band drummer Levon Helm and Uncle Earl took home the top honors at the third annual Folk Alliance awards on Wednesday night. Helm was named Traditional Artist Of The Year at the Memphis, Tennessee event, while Uncle Earl's Waterloo, Tennessee collected Album Of The Year.

Elsewhere, Tom Russell's "Who's Gonna Build Your Wall" was honored with the Song Of The Year prize, and Susan Werner picked up the Contemporary Artist Award.
