Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross has vowed never to give birth again, after she endured a dangerous and traumatic pregnancy to give birth to twin girls - Eden and Savannah.

A year on, Cross, 45, is still sworn off natural birth, after fearing both she and her children would die during labor. Instead she and husband Tom Mahoney will adopt if they want more kids.

She tells Health magazine, "My eyesight started going, and I gained 12 pounds in one week. Both are symptoms of pre-eclampsia, a complication that is life-threatening for mother and baby. Within 12 hours of being diagnosed - at 35 weeks - I had a C-section (Caesarian section)."
