Britney Spears' paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib was questioned by Los Angeles police on Wednesday evening after he was accused of beating up a fellow snapper.

The Brit is alleged to have been involved in a brawl in the parking lot of the Beverly Hills Hotel when he objected to another photographer taking pictures of him and his two female companions.

Ghalib left the scene but returned later on when he was alerted to the cops' interest in speaking to him.

After a brief word with the authorities, the officers decided to drop the investigation and Ghalib was allowed to walk free without charge.

Spears was not present during the incident.
