Heath Ledger's former girlfriend Gemma Ward has arrived in Perth, Australia for the tragic actor's funeral. Ward will join members of Ledger's family and his ex-fiancée Michelle Williams when the star is laid to rest.

Williams and the two-year-old daughter she had with Ledger arrived in Perth on Wednesday, the same day that medical examiners in New York ruled the actor, 28, had accidentally died from a lethal cocktail of prescription drugs.

A private funeral for the actor is expected to take place in Perth, his hometown, on Friday.
