M.O.P. Leave G-Unit Records
Rappers Billy Danze and Lil' Fame signed to G-Unit Records in 2005, but despite the hype surrounding their new deal, the Ante Up stars failed to secure an official release date for their new disc. Their LP was rumored to be released in October, but the album never came into fruition.
But M.O.P.'s manager, Laze Elliot, insists the spilt is amicable. He tells AllHipHop.com, "As soon as I lock down the new situation, it (quitting G-Unit) will be official.
"The great thing about the G-Unit deal is that it cleared all the debts the group carried over the years. So we are starting basically from scratch."
The last album by M.O.P. was 2005's independent LP, M.O.P. Salutes The Marxmen, which was released via their own Family First label, and distributed by Koch Records.
