Rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs is planning to quit music to pursue a full-time career in acting. The star has scaled down his hip-hop projects in recent years, so he can expand an acting resume that includes a Broadway stint in A Raisin in the Sun and a critically-acclaimed role in 2001 Oscar-winning movie Monster's Ball.
Combs recently revealed he would be reprising his Broadway role in a TV version of A Raisin in the Sun (photos) - and he hopes it will help him make a move to acting full-time.
He says, "Right now I'm transitioning from a recording artist to acting. Having an opportunity to play this role, it really changed my life. I had an opportunity to open up as an artist, and I learned so much. Every role I get, I feel I'm getting better."
