Romantic Ryan Reynolds once jetted from New York to London just to take a girlfriend out for lunch. The actor - currently romancing Scarlett Johansson - was desperate to impress a British girl he was dating, so he hopped on a plane, dined with his lady, and then flew straight back.

He tells British radio station Heart, "It was a few years ago, but I once flew all the way to London to have lunch with this girl I was dating. She lived in the U.K. and I was in the U.S. obviously. We had just started dating and didn't really get to see as much of each other as we would have like to because of the distance and work and everything… so I just flew here to have lunch with her."

"I had to leave the very same day so it was pretty romantic but expensive. I did let her buy the sandwich though."
