Filmmaker Joe Johnstone will take over the reigns of new movie Wolf Man after original director Mark Romanek turned his back on the project. Romanek quit the new Benicio Del Toro movie last week citing "creative differences" for his departure.
But studio bosses at Universal Pictures swiftly hired Johnstone so filming could begin on the horror movie remake - which was scheduled to start on February 18, according to Variety.
A spokesman for the studio says the 57-year-old will be officially named as the new director later this week).
However, Johnstone - who has also directed Jurassic Park III and Honey, I Shrunk The Kids - will not be able to make any changes to the script due to the current writers' strike in Hollywood.
