British actor Tim Roth is glad he doesn't look like Hollywood heart-throbs Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp - because it's harder for handsome stars to earn respect. The Reservoir Dogs star feels sorry for good looking screen idols because they run the risk of short careers if they fail to prove themselves as actors.

The 46-year-old, who famously turned down the role of Severus Snape in the Harry Potter franchise, says, "It was clear early on that if you have those looks, your career can be brief - that's disturbing. It's hard for those guys. Sometimes, how they go from boy to man just doesn't work. They have to prove themselves as actors more."
