Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline has defended his surly behavior towards the media - claiming journalists never report the truth about him.

The wannabe rapper/actor, who is famous for his bad attitude when approached by the press and paparazzi, insists he's just protecting himself, because he is always misquoted.

Federline tells Interview magazine, "Every interview I've done, everything has gone so great, and then what I see and I read in a magazine is completely the opposite of what we talked about. So I am very skeptical about opening myself up to other people, because you have no idea how they're going to take your words and turn them around."
