MobyDance star Moby hit the streets of west London on Monday evening to put on an impromptu sidewalk show for fans - but his turn as a street performer only earned him $10 in tips.

The Honey hitmaker - real name Richard Melville Hall - was joined by singer Joy Malcolm in the British capital's Sloane Square for a performance of his greatest hits.

But the 40-minute set, which was filmed as a stunt for British TV program The Culture Show, didn't prove to be a money-maker for Moby.

He says, "At the most I was given maybe £5 or £6, but that's fine because I was obviously not doing it for the money. When I was at university I used to busk (perform on the streets) all the time to make money to buy liquor."
