Actress Diane Keaton
has never wed because she's afraid of men. The Annie Hall
star has famously dated stars like Woody Allen
and Warren Beatty
, but she admits she never came close to marrying either men - or any of the other guys she has romanced.
She says, "I was always a little bit afraid of men: 'Oh no, am I going to get lost in this? Am I going to be myself, or am I going to be constantly saying, Your jokes are so funny!' I was inclined to be someone who would go along. Not a good thing. They're not getting the real you, and you don't know how to be the real you."
The single mother-of-two adopted kids adds, "When I'd be attracted to men, I'd wish they'd be more like me... I wish I could have appreciated them for what they were about, instead of how they were in relation to me."
But Keaton insists she still has crushes on some of her co-stars, falling for her onscreen husband in new film Mad Money
, Ted Danson
She explains, "As far as Ted goes I think he's just the perfect kind of guy for me."
