Ex-Blackstreet Star Jailed After A Year On The Run
The R&B star - also known as Chauncey Black - was extradited to Virginia and put behind bars at Virginia Beach City Jail, where he is currently being held without bond.
Hannibal is facing additional counts of failure to pay child or spousal support, and failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge relating to a skipped court sentencing date in September, where he was due to hear his fate in relation to previous charges of probation violation and contempt of court.
An arrest warrant for the 39-year-old accused of grand larceny was issued by Virginia police in January 2007, after he allegedly broke into a $592,000 house he had been evicted from in Chesapeake Bay and looted and vandalized the property. The owner of the property filed a police report, resulting in Hannibal's warrant.
The Grammy-winner is due in court on Thursday.
