Married…With ChildrenIn the 80s, viewers tuned in to two series that featured some of the most popular theme songs on television: "Married...With Children" and "Cheers." What happened to the stars of these popular shows?

Cheers (1982-93)

Who can forget the words from the opening sequence: Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got/Taking a break from all your worries sure would help a lot/Wouldn't you like to get away?

Kirstie AlleyFor 11 great years we watched regulars Carla (Rhea Pearlman), Norm (George Wendt), Cliff (John Ratzenberger) and Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) come into the Cheers bar and share their experiences and what was going on in their lives, all while having a tall glass of beer. Bartenders Sam (Ted Danson), Woody (Woody Harrelson), Rebecca (Kirstie Alley) and Diane (Shelley Long) enjoyed working at this small bar "where everybody knows your name." When the series ended in 1993, the cast moved onto bigger and better things.

Kirstie Alley appeared in a few movies such as "Drop Dead Gorgeous," "It Takes Two" and "Look Who's Talking." But she made more headlines because of her battle with her weight rather than her big-screen roles. She took advantage of that and starred in her own hit reality series "Fat Actress" and became the spokesperson for Jenny Craig.

Kelsey GrammerNot many spin offs end up doing well. Anyone remember "Joey?" Kelsey Grammer, on the other hand, got lucky. When "Cheers" ended he got his own spin-off "Frasier," which lasted for 11 years and was nominated for several Emmy and Golden Globe awards. He was also the voice of Sideshow Bob on Fox's most popular series "The Simpsons." You can now catch Grammer alongside Patricia Heaton as the news anchor Chuck Darling in Fox's new series "Back To You."

Ted DansonTed Danson has appeared in his former costars' TV shows such as Alley's "Veronica's Closet" and Grammer's "Frasier." In 1998, he went on to star in his own series "Becker" on CBS. His most recent TV appearance was in the new FX series "Damages" where he plays Arthur Frobisher, a powerful man who is on trial and could lose most, if not all of his money. You can currently catch Danson on the big screen alongside Diane Keaton, Katie Holmes and Queen Latifah in "Mad Money."

Woody HarrelsonWoody Harrelson made the transition to film, starring in notable movies such as "Natural Born Killers" and "The People Vs. Larry Flint." Shelley Long has appeared in several made-for-television movies and guest starred in series such as "Frasier," "8 Simple Rules," and "Yes, Dear." George Wendt and Rhea Perlman have also been steadily acting. John Ratzenberger recently reappeared in the spotlight on "Dancing With The Stars" and also hosted "Made In America" on the Travel Channel.

Married… With Children (1987-1997)

Love and marriage, love and marriage/Go together like a horse and carriage/This I tell ya brother, you can't have one without the other.

For 11 years we all watched Al Bundy (Ed O'Neill) sit on his couch with his hands partially down his pants, Peggy (Katey Sagal) eat her bon bons, and their kids Kelly (Christina Applegate) and Bud (David Faustino), well, be kids.

Ed O'NeillEd O'Neill has had some minor success since the show ended. He appeared in several TV shows, including Applegate's "Jesse" and Sagal's "8 Simple Rules." He also appeared in movies such as "Wayne's World," "Little Giants" and "The Bone Collector." Since his guest appearances on "John From Cincinnati," O'Neill hasn't done any work.

David FaustinoDavid Faustino didn't have much success once the show ended. He's appeared in a few television shows like "Jesse," "Nash Bridges," "The X-Files" and "The Bernie Mac Show," but nothing recently. According to IMDB.com, he has three films in the works: "The Hustle," "RoboDoc" and another untitled film. In May 2007, Faustino was busted for marijuana possession. Shortly thereafter, he divorced his wife of three years.

Christina ApplegateChristina Applegate has been working almost nonstop since she stopped playing the ditzy blonde Kelly Bundy. She appeared in several popular movies like "The Sweetest Thing" and "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy." In the past she had some minor success with her TV show "Jesse," but her new ABC series "Samantha Who" is not only getting great reviews from critics, but it's also getting really great ratings; one of the highest rated premieres from a new series to be exact.

Katey SagalAfter "Married… With Children" ended, Katey Sagal decided to stick with her TV roots. She appeared in several TV shows like "That 70s Show," "Tucker," "Futurama," "Lost" and "Boston Legal." In 2002, she started alongside the late John Ritter as Cate Hennessy in ABC's "8 Simple Rules… For Dating My Teenage Daughter." Sagal is currently working on projects for "Futurama" and the TV movie "Sons of Anarchy."
