Actress Jess Weixler is glad she didn't turn down the chance to work with director Mitchell Lichtenstein when she was offered the role of a woman with teeth in her vagina.

Weixler was stunned when she picked up the script for black comedy Teeth - but decided to take on the challenge. And she was repaid with a Sundance Film Festival Jury Prize for her acting.

Weixler says, "I read the script and thought, 'Uh, OK.' And set it down. Then I picked it up again, and decided to take it for what it was, a black comedy. I wanted to play her like a superhero. Her power is that she happens to be anatomically gifted."
