The Top 10 Most Highly Anticipated Video Games Of 2008
2007 was one of the best years for video games that we have ever seen. We saw all types of triple-A titles, from new masterpieces like Bioshock, Mass Effect, Portal, and Rock Band to the continuing success of franchises such as God of War 2, Call of Duty 4 and Super Mario Galaxy. From the groundbreaking graphics in Crysis to the incredible online customization in Halo 3, gamers were spoiled with all kinds of innovative features and mesmerizing graphics. But 2007 has come and gone, and now we must look at what is in store for 2008. Here is a list of the top 10 most anticipated games of 2008.
10. Little Big Planet
Release Date: Fall
System: PS3
Boasting ridiculous Pixar-type quality graphics you have to see to believe, Little Big Planet demos wowed gaming critics in conventions all last year. Part platformer and part world creation game, you first learn about your rag-doll (entitled sack-boy) like character's ability to interact with the environment, which can later help you solve puzzles and collect items. Eventually you can basically create and change the environment depending upon your ability. The game includes an incredibly realistic physics engine, a server on the Playstation Network to share user-created levels and puzzles, and even ways to upload digital photos into the game. The obstacles and puzzles to explore in the game can be solved on your own or with other people. This is definitely one of those “wow” titles for the PS3 this year - and has been delayed a few times already. Gamers can finally stop waiting this fall.
