Robin Wright has dismissed reports she served her husband Sean Penn with divorce papers after finding the actor in bed with two other women as "laughable." Wright, who filed for divorce in California on December 21 citing irreconcilable differences, is fed up with wayward speculation in the tabloid media as to the reason for the split.

And the Forrest Gump star was left particularly unimpressed by reports that claimed she caught Penn in the act of being unfaithful.

She says, "This is laughable; it didn't happen."

The couple wed in 1996 and has two children.
