Wyclef Jean has some news for pal Angelina Jolie - he didn't name is adopted daughter after the actress. The rapper and his wife Marie adopted two-year-old Angelina from their native Haiti in March 2005.

Although he is close friends with Jolie, through her humanitarian work in his homeland, Jean insists the actress wasn't the inspiration behind his name choice, despite reports to the contrary.

He says, "A lot of people think I named her after Angelina Jolie, because I have worked with her and everyone knows I am a fan. But I named her after an angel. Because she is an angel."
