Veteran star Lee Majors needed no preparation to play a football coach in new TV show The Game - he almost became a trainer instead of an actor.
The Six Million Dollar Man actor, 68, plays the head of a professional team in the CBS show - and Majors confesses it fulfilled a lifetime ambition for him. He says, "Actually, when I was in college, I planned to be a college coach, so it came naturally."
And he has no regrets about choosing acting over sport: "No, but I still watch every football game I can. I'm quite fond of the Denver Broncos, because the coach (Mike Shanahan) is my friend."
"He used to be the coach of the Oakland Raiders. I was always on the bench rooting for the team and he was always very nice to me, so when he moved to Denver, I kind of migrated to Denver."
