Attorney Tells Britney Spears To Stop Acting Like A Fourth Grader
Mark Vincent Kaplan isn't accepting Spears' excuse she was too ill to attend the court-ordered child custody-related meeting at the attorney's Los Angeles office - and urges her to behave more responsibly.
He says, "It's not like the fourth grade where you get a doctor's note and it's all OK. If you don't obey a court order, you can be held in contempt, but we're not really interested in punishing her. We're interested in getting facts and information that are inconsistent with her position or consistent with my client's position."
Though much of the custody battle remains unsure, Kaplan insists one thing that is decided is where Federline and Spears' sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, will spend Christmas.
He adds, "Kevin would like the children to be able to experience Christmas, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day with both himself, as well as their mom, and arrangements have been made for a schedule we believe will accommodate them."
