Plans for a movie adaptation of the hit series Arrested Development are getting closer to completion - after a number of meetings with the show's key figures.

Arrested Development star Jason Bateman met with series creator Mitch Hurwitz at the weekend, further fueling speculation the film version of the show is in the pipeline.

Earlier this year, Michael Cera, Bateman's co-star, insisted he would be keen to sign up for an Arrested Development movie if it ever came to fruition.
