Madonna, Simon Cowell, Kate Moss and climate campaigner Al Gore are among hundreds of high-profile celebrities who have rejected an environmental scheme proposing the sharing of private planes.

Just 78 out of 3,500 rich and famous flyers targeted have agreed to the plea, which asks those who travel in their own jets to share their luxury aircrafts with other passengers.

A spokesperson for supermodel Moss has insisted sharing jets is impractical considering the star's busy schedule.
