Britney Spears caused an upset at a Hollywood lingerie and sex toy store after allegedly throwing a tantrum and stripping off in front of shocked staff.

Employees at Hustler on Sunset Boulevard claim Spears arrived there shortly before 1 a.m. on November 18, and insisted on trying on a number of saucy garments. When staff told the singer that they didn't allow people to try on underwear, Spears got angry and reportedly threw a tantrum.

One source tells magazine Us Weekly, "She was really upset... She looked out of it. There was nothing going on behind her eyes."

According to staff, Spears then ripped off her own underwear in the middle of the store and tried on a pair of 'boyshorts' with 'Barely Legal' stitched across the behind as the embarrassed employees looked on.

One eyewitness tells the publication, "It was like dealing with a child."

Upset Spears then paid for her sexy knickers with a credit card and stormed out, swiping a wig off a mannequin on her way.
