Jonathan Rhys Meyers faces another embarrassment about his drunken behavior at the weekend - he's featured in the new issue of men's magazine Details insisting his boozing days are over. The Irish actor was arrested by police after a drunken clash with airport staff at Dublin airport on Sunday after he was told he was "unfit to travel."
The incident took place after the 30-year-old, who entered rehab to battle his alcoholism earlier this year, spent months telling interviewers he was winning his battle with the bottle.
He tells Details, "I didn't drink until I was 25, and I never drank every day, but when I did, it was bad. It would be a couple of days that just wouldn't work out for me, waking up with a hangover. Drink doesn't fit into the groove of where my life is going."
In another recent interview with Complex magazine, the actor admitted not drinking is "difficult."
He said, "I'm 30 years old and Irish."
