Strike Makes For Desperate Times On 'Desperate Housewives'

The creator of Desperate Housewives is desperate for the Hollywood writers' strike to end, because he's fast running out of episodes. Marc Cherry admits he and his writing team have honored their fellow Writers Guild Of America members and come out on strike - and that could mean a very early end to the current season of the show.
He says, "We've shut down and that's it - until it's all over."
Cherry admits the writing team has only completed work on nine episodes, and they'll run out in the next month. And that will serve to frustrate viewers - because they'll have to wait to see how an upcoming tornado episode turns out.
Speaking from the picket line on Monday, Cherry explains, "They're gonna want to know who the hell died and they're not gonna find out for a while."
