My Best Friend's Wedding star Dermot Mulroney won't be celebrating his 44th birthday on Wednesday after finalizing his divorce from actress Catherine Keener on the same day.

The couple's marriage status will officially end on December 17.

According to court documents, neither party will pay child or spousal support and they will have joint legal custody of their son Clyde.

The couple cited "irreconcilable differences" for the breakdown of their marriage. Both agreed to a confidential martial settlement agreement.

Keener and Mulroney wed in 1990. Their son was born in 1999.
