Carla BruniEric Clapton and Mick Jagger's former model girlfriend Carla Bruni's new album is a poetic tribute to her dying brother.

The stunning 39-year-old's new release No Promises, on which she puts 11 of her favorite poems to music, was recorded as her cancer-stricken sibling was fighting for his life.

Bruni says, "He (brother) was so strong, so graceful in the face of death, but it was so terrible... I felt I really needed to write myself out of something."
