Britney Spears has come under fire for failing to pay the dancers who appeared on stage with her at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.

The star - who was panned for her performance of new single Gimme More at the Las Vegas ceremony - fired her management team, The Firm, before they could issue full payments to the dancers for their involvement in preparations for the show.

A source tells Us Weekly, "The dancers were paid for the actual show and some of the rehearsals, but not all of them."
