Peter GabrielPeter Gabriel, K.T. Tunstall, James Blunt and Natasha Bedingfield were among the stars honored by the Broadcast Music Inc (BMI) in London on Tuesday. Gabriel was named the BMI Icon for his "influence on generations of music makers," at the ceremony, which recognizes artists whose songs break airplay records in the U.S.

Tunstall was awarded two BMI gongs for her hits Black Horse And The Cherry Tree and Suddenly I See. Natasha Bedingfield also picked up two gongs for Single and Unwritten - which was named Song Of The Year.

Blunt was awarded the Internet Award for track You're Beautiful, as it was the most downloaded tune of the previous year.
