High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale will launch her solo pop career by performing in shopping malls across America. In a move that conjures up images of late 80's teen pop sensation Tiffany, the singer will play 10 shopping court gigs, complete with a fashion show, beginning this weekend.

The first show will take place in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday.

Designer Marc Ecko's clothing company Red is sponsoring the mall tour. Tisdale has been announced as the company's Christmas spokesperson.
