Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay launched into a vicious rant against women drivers, the French, and U.S. cops on Jay Leno's talk show, leaving the Tonight Show host stunned.

The Brit appeared on the show on Thursday night, alongside Hollywood star Joaquin Phoenix.

He told of a run in with a motorcycle cop who refused to move his bike to allow Ramsay to park, so the chef stuck gum on his seat and gave him the finger, adding, "They are so miserable. They need to liven up a bit."

On women drivers he said, "(They are) always looking in the mirror and driving too slow."

Ramsay described the french as "difficult" and having bad breath, adding, "I had a French girlfriend. It was like going to bed with a Rottweiler on your chest."
