Heroes villain
Zachary Quinto insists luck has nothing to do with him landing his dream role as the young Mr. Spock in
J.J. Abrams' new
Star Trek film - he willed it to happen. The actor, who plays scheming Sylar in the hit TV series, started putting positive energy into the universe as soon as he heard Abrams was casting his Star Trek prequel - in the hope of winning a leading role.
He explains, "I started talking about it (film) to everybody - to my friends, my agents, reporters who interviewed me. I put my intentions out there clearly and the universe responded. This is age-old thinking rooted in Eastern philosophy and spirituality."
Quinto will join
Zoe Saldana,
Eric Bana and
Anton Yelchin among the cast of the new sci-fi film, which will also feature the original Mr. Spock,
Leonard Nimoy.
