Failed sci-fi franchise Serenity
is set to blast onto our screens again - a sequel is in the works. The cult series was called Firefly
when it was a TV series - which was canceled after 11 episodes in 2002 - before it spawned a big screen movie named Serenity in 2005.
However, despite favorable reviews, the film flopped at the box office. But actor Alan Tudyk
insists a sequel could still happen.
Tudyk, who plays Wash on the hit show, tells Moviehole.net
, "The DVD has been selling so hot, that there's talk in doing another movie.
"They had to put (the new DVD) out because they've been selling out of the other one and so Universal's like 'So, let's do another one'. And now... there's now a chance there's going to be another movie".
Serenity beat off Star Wars
to become the U.K.'s favourite science fiction film in a recent poll.
