The Police Consider First Album Since 1983's 'Synchronicity'

The Police guitarist Andy Summers is eyeing the "challenge" of recording the band's first studio album in 24 years. The British band reformed for a world tour earlier this year, and the trio is now considering recording the follow-up to 1983's Synchronicity.
Summers says, "It's sort of like living with the elephant in the room. I would see it as a challenge, to make an absolutely brilliant pop album at this stage of our career, and that would be something quite remarkable."
