Filmmaker Ang Lee’s controversial new thriller Lust, Caution has broken box-office records in both his native Taiwan and Hong Kong this week.
Sex scenes in "Lust, Caution" are so raunchy that ratings board officials in America have given the movie a hard NC-17 rating, while Chinese censors insist Lee must cut 30 minutes from the movie for them to consider releasing it.
However, audiences in Taiwan and Hong Kong have flocked to cinemas to see the film - "Lust, Caution" has made a record-breaking $1.07 million in three days in Taiwan and set another record opening in Hong Kong with takings of $474,000.
