Jason Schwartzman is hobbling around Hollywood after breaking his toes playing shoeless soccer. The actor spent months barefoot in India, filming new movie The Darjeeling Limited, and decided he could tackle soccer without his boots upon his return to Hollywood.

He says, "I went through India shoeless for four months. Though I got quite dirty my skin remained unbroken and my toes unscathed. But then I played soccer in Santa Monica and I broke the heck of some toes. I believe it was Alanis Morissette who said 'Isn't it ironic?' and, yes, I really do think this is a little too ironic."

But his injury isn't stopping Schwartzman from promoting his new film - he's got his smashed toes taped up and he's walking around with a cane.
