The Rolling StonesThe Rolling Stones' A Bigger Bang Tour has earned the rockers the title as the world's most successful music tour in the latest edition of the Guinness World Records.

The group's worldwide tour - which took place between August 2005 and August 2007 - raised profits of $437 million, edging out Madonna's Confessions dates to give them a new record.

But the Material Girl has been named the most successful female artist - her 60-date Confessions tour in 2006 grossed almost $200 million, earning the star more than $3 million per concert.

The Rolling Stones' latest honor comes shortly after they were named the top earning music act of 2007 in Forbes magazine's annual rich list. The veteran rockers made an estimated $88 million in 2007, narrowly beating hip-hop superstar Jay-Z to the number one spot.
