From "The O.C." producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage and based on the New York Times best-selling young-adult book series of the same name, the new CW series Gossip Girl premieres tonight at 9 pm on The CW.

The show features an ensemble cast of new and veteran actors, including Blake Lively and Leighton Meester, and focuses on the struggle for social supremacy among teens from both sides of the tracks in a posh Manhattan prep school.
