The Smithereens Go From The Beatles To Christmas
Cult rockers The Smithereens are set to follow up their tribute to The Beatles with a new Christmas classics album. The group scored a hit with their "Meet The Smithereens" album of Beatles covers last year, and now they're feeling festive. The group's upcoming "Christmas With The Smithereens" album features reworkings of Elvis Presley's "Santa Bring My Baby Back (To Me)," "Merry Christmas," "Baby" by The Beach Boys and The Who's festive Tommy tune Christmas.
The album also inspired the New Jersey rockers to pen a holiday original, "Waking Up on Christmas Morning."
