Sean KingstonThe producers of the forthcoming biopic on Notorious B.I.G. has slammed reports they have cast R&B singer Sean Kingston as the late rapper. The Beautiful Girls singer, 17, was quoted earlier this week as saying he had "nailed" the audition and director George Tillman Jr. had "gave me a shot at being in the movie".

However, producer Wayne Barrow - former manager of the hip-hop mogul - tells AllHipHop.com, "As producers of the biopic Notorious, we felt compelled to quell the various false media reports indicating Sean Kingston has landed the coveted role of portraying The Notorious B.I.G. in the upcoming film. The role for B.I.G. is 100 per cent open and we are diligently searching for the individual to seize the moment and fill those giant shoes of greatness, everyone is being considered, including Sean Kingston but no one has been chosen."

The film, which is scheduled for release in 2009, will be produced by Barrow, the rapper's mother Voletta Wallace and Mark Pitts, and executive produced by Sean 'Diddy' Combs.

Notorious B.I.G., real name Christopher Wallace, was fatally shot while sitting in a car outside a post-Soul Train Music Awards in Los Angeles on March 8th 1997. He was 24.
