Remy MaRemy Ma's alleged shooting victim has accused the troubled rapper of committing crimes in a bid to "make a name" for herself. Makeda Barnes-Joseph, 23, was hospitalized after claiming she was shot by the hip-hop star outside a New York City nightclub last month.

Remy Ma, real name Remy Smith, has been charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon and is currently free on $250,000 bail. Barnes-Joseph was released from hospital earlier this month, but is confined to her bed from her injuries and sees a physical therapist three times a week.

She tells the New York Daily News, "They (celebrities) feel that they can do whatever they want and get away with it. They think that because they're rappers that they need to make a name for themselves. It's ridiculous, the stupid things she's doing. Because they're hard-core female rappers, they (think they) have to live up to what they say in their raps. I sit here and I try to think every day, 'Why is she doing that? How can she deny that?"
