Keira burst onto the scene in 2002 in the highly successful football (by 'football' we mean 'soccer') film Bend It Like Beckham alongside Indian beauty Parminder Nagra. Soon after that she stole hearts as the lovely Elizabeth Swann in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' trilogy. Then it was on to playing the sexy, badass Guinevere in director Antoine Fuqua's take on King Arthur. Next came the twisted thriller The Jacket opposite Adrien Brody before garnering an Oscar nomination for her role in yet another remake of the classic tale from Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice. She followed as another badass, this time as an assassin in Domino, before completing the 'Pirates' trilogy.

Next up for Keira is Atonement, a drama set in 1935 which has Keira stripping off and frolicking innocently in her family's garden fountain with a boy, only to find themselves at the center of a scandal after her younger sister falsely accuses the boy of a crime he didn't commit. The Last King Of Scotland's James McAvoy is the lucky fellow who stars opposite Keira. The film opens in December. (More on that risque scene here)

In 2008 she's set to star in another period piece (The Duchess) before starring in the Dylan Thomas biopic The Best Time Of Our Lives. Yawn.

Keira recently unleashed her sexiness by posing for a Chanel perfume ad; and recently explained how she thinks fame is overrated.
